[Science Of My Untamed Thoughts] sparks dialogue on digital art.

Last month, I had the opportunity to open the “Science of My Untamed Thoughts”, a solo exhibition by emerging digital artist, MadCreative at the Goethe Institute. The exhibition’s opening showcase was held at the hours of 5:30pm, being available to the general public. Following the opening reception, the exhibition was hosted from 23rd January to 28th February, 2023 with an extension to the 15th of March.

As an art lover, I was immediately struck by the diversity of the works on display upon entering the exhibition space. As I moved through the exhibition, I was impressed by the range of works represented and I was struck by the skill and creativity of the artist. Each piece was thoughtfully executed and clearly communicated the artist’s message. There were photographs all exploring different facets of the theme. The air was filled with a buzz of excitement as visitors moved from one artwork to another, admiring each piece with a keen eye. Each artwork seemed to tell a story, and I found myself lost in thought as I tried to decipher the messages behind each piece.

One of my favorite pieces was ‘Reach/Tired Man’, a new media – Digital Art with description; “Oh you tired man! How far would you go to reach success? It takes a lifetime to die and no time at all.” The colors of this work were incredibly bold and striking and as you move closer, you begin to notice the intricate details of the artwork. What struck me most about the artwork however, was the emotional intensity that it conveyed. The bold colors give the impression of joy and exuberance, but there is also a sense of something darker lurking just beneath the surface.

Another standout piece was; “Education”. A Digital Art – Photograph with description; ‘Education sheds light on dark places and holds the key to a new world. Through education, we have increased access to opportunities that were locked to use beforehand. I see learning to be a way of assessing new opportunities’. The artwork seemed to jump out of the frame, as if the artist had captured a moment in time and brought it to life. I stood in front of it for what seemed like ages, letting my imagination run wild as I tried to unravel the story behind the work.

As I moved from one exhibit to another, I could not help but notice the different emotions that each piece evoked in me. Some made me feel happy and inspired, while others left me feeling melancholic and introspective. It was as if the artist had poured his soul into his creation, and his passion and creativity were palpable in the air. I found myself drawn to a collection of manipulated photographs that captured the beauty of everyday life in stunning detail. Each image told a story, inviting me to step into the frame and experience the world through the eyes of the artist. I was also impressed by the way the exhibition was curated, with each work thoughtfully placed to complement and contrast with the others.

The exhibition hall was filled with people from all walks of life, each with their own unique perspectives and interpretations of the art on display. I overheard many conversations, both serious and lighthearted, as people discussed their thoughts and feelings about the artworks. As I made my way through the hall, I could not help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The art on display was more than just pretty pictures – it was a reflection of the human experience, a celebration of our creativity and diversity. Each piece told a story, inviting me to step into a new world and see things from a different perspective.

As I left the exhibition, I felt inspired and uplifted. “Science of My Untamed Thoughts” was a truly unforgettable experience. I felt a sense of fulfillment and gratitude for having experienced such a beautiful and thought-provoking exhibition. It was a powerful reminder of the beauty of diversity and the importance of artistic expression in bringing people together. I left with a renewed appreciation for the power of art to create connections and bridge cultural divides.
